Are you the Attorney for both parents / guardians? No. If you choose this service our office is the mediator. We will not represent either parent / guardian in any type of litigation after you contact our office, but we are happy to refer you to other Attorneys we trust to handle your legal needs beyond Child-Led Custody Solutions! With this service you are hiring a mediator to look at everything in from the 'best interest" lens.
What if we complete the process, and we can't come to an agreement? You have the option to file for custody and have a judge determine your custody order. You will leave with a report detailing the information gathered. This will give both attorneys an understanding of the issues making it easier to present those issues to a judge.
Do both parents / guardians have to agree to the process to use Child-Led Custody Solutions? Yes, CLCS is a process that starts with the agreement of both parents / guardians. What if there's an active PFA? You cannot engage in this service if there is an active Protection from Abuse order (sometimes also called protection order, no contact order). If you feel your child needs an additional advocate, our Guardian ad Litem services are better suited for your needs.
